Words & Images from the Modern Tradition of Witchcraft The Modern Traditional Witch
Horned Goddess Painting Detail, original artwork by Laura Tempest Zakroff, see owlkeyme.com for more info.

Welcome to the home of the Modern Tradition of Witchcraft.  This website was originally established in 1999, and was actively updated and added to through 2004.  After that, sadly it languished as I focused on other projects, though many still found it to be a valuable resource for their own paths.

In 2014, I found myself re-entering the Pagan community, and I started up the blog
A Modern Traditional Witch. In the summer of 2015, I decided to give this site its own URL, a new design, and excavate through 60+ pages to bring them up to date. Which is no easy task considering it grew organically over the course of 5 years, and was written at a whole other time in my life.  Some articles I have left intact and noted the date on them, to preserve the spirit that era.  My hope is to revive and refresh this site, make it more relevant for the times, and continue to grow it in new ways.

How to Navigate This Site:
If you click directly ON the buttons in the menu above ("Path", "Practice", "Weave" or "Voice"), it will bring you to a main page for each section, telling you more about that section and what's inside. There are some pages that are hidden from the pull-down menus, so you need to read through the site to find the links. Because that's how we roll.
